Our Sponsored Artist for Comic Con 2024 is...
Art is magic! It’s alchemy: the mystical infusion of base elements with emotion, experience, inspiration, imagination, and skill… to will something into being that is greater than the sum of its parts.
It is with tremendous pride and excitement that we present this year’s alchemist, our San Diego Comic Con 2024 Sponsored Artist…
Kaysha Siemens
From our inception, part of the mission of the Kevin Workman Foundation has been not only to cultivate the best and the brightest rising-star visual artists, but also to expose work that is fresh and unusual to a much wider audience that has very likely never seen anything quite like it before— we think you’ll agree our selection this year fits the bill!
Kaysha is an award-winning artist currently specializing in oil painting and graphite, with a recent delve into the Renaissance realm of egg tempera which, yes, is exactly what it sounds like: pigments made from an egg base!
Her mind is peopled with the tales and figures of myth and legend, and she brings elements of these into fusion with her close observation of nature. She uses them to convey a sense of narrative in her work, drawing attention to moments of folklore, mythology, and literature that may otherwise go overlooked, and imbuing her paintings and drawings with meaning and mystery.
We encourage you to follow Kaysha on Instagram, and to visit her website to see more of her incredible work:

Our Sponsored Artist for Comic Con 2023 is...
Remember when you were a child, following along as a teacher had you fold paper, then cut shapes into it with scissors— unsure about exactly what you were doing— only to unfold it and discover that you’d created a wondrous, magical snowflake?
Now imagine increasing the degree of complexity a hundredfold, cutting the paper by hand with a scalpel, doing it in 3-D— and you’ll begin to understand what we’re about to unveil.
After much consideration and deliberation, it is with tremendous excitement that we present our San Diego Comic Con 2023 Sponsored Artist…
Daria Aksenova
From our inception, part of the mission of the Kevin Workman Foundation has been not only to try to cultivate the best and the brightest rising-star visual artists, but also to expose work that is fresh and unusual to a much wider audience that has very likely never seen anything quite like it before— we think you’ll agree that our selection fits the bill!
Daria uses ink as an unforgiving medium that precludes editing and demands precision. Individual elements are then hand-cut with a scalpel and suspended against each other, achieving the desired depth. Her technique demands a steady hand and unfailing commitment, often requiring over a hundred hours of dedication and intimacy with each piece to create her enchanting shadowboxes -- she even makes her own frames!
We encourage you to follow Daria on Instagram, and to visit her website to see more of her incredible work: https://www.instagram.com/dariaaksenovaart (@dariaaksenovaart)

We look forward to seeing you all at Comic Con and to introducing you to Daria and her work— come visit us at booth #934!

Our Sponsored Artist for Comic Con 2022 is...
It's not deja vu... it's not a glitch in the Matrix!
We originally made this announcement on March 11, 2020 -- about a week before the world went all Stranger Things and turned upside-down.
Here we are nearly 2.5 years later, and we're happy to announce that we'll be back at San Diego Comic Con for 2022, along with our Sponsored Artist originally selected for 2020!
It is with great excitement that we present our Comic Con 2022 Sponsored Artist...
Daniel Ibanez!
From our inception, part of the mission of the Kevin Workman Foundation has been not only to try to cultivate the best and the brightest rising-star visual artists, but also to expose work that is fresh and unusual to a much wider audience.
Daniel is a Fort Collins, Colorado-based husband, father, teacher, and artist who is as talented as he is prolific, and exhibiting at Comic Con will present him with an amazing opportunity to accomplish just that.
Excelling in a number of traditional mediums as well as digital, Daniel effortlessly transitions between myriad styles and subject matter: everything from neo-impressionist landscapes and still-lifes to otherworldly, Frazetta-inspired fantasy scenes.
We encourage you to follow Daniel on Instagram to see his latest updates, as well as visit his website to see more of his incredible art: https://www.instagram.com/mambobon (@mambobon)
